Hardcore Exhibition

For the “HARDCORE New Finnish Design” exhibition, twenty-five individual design projects from Finland were highlighted during New York Design Week 2008. In addition, a HARDCORE lounge was hosted by Finnish design brands Iittala, Artek, and Marimekko. Each design submission for the exhibition was produced in collaboration with a major Finnish design company and all were based on the authentic, innovative, and bold nature of Finnish design. From graphic design to fashion to product design, all of the projects showcased how Finnish designers solve design challenges in various contexts. The exhibition was very well received by both the public and the design industry during Design Week, giving a spotlight to Helsinki as an international design capital.
