Alvar Aalto exhibition

The Finnish furniture company Artek invited Ilkka Suppanen to create a unified environment for the brand across their exhibitions and stores. His notable design for Artek consisted of a flexible system of suspended ceiling rods and linear wall display panels. In 2008, this system was used in an Alvar Aalto exhibition in Stockholm entitled “Don’t Forget to Play!”, which invited visitors to decorate white pieces of Artek furniture with brightly colored paints.
