Perho

Designed for the small, innovative Japanese furniture company E&Y, Perho is a two-colored lounge chair composed of rectangular cushions on a light metal structure. Its variable height encourages different seating arrangements as it can be used as both a low traditional Japanese seat and as a high western-style seat. This versatile quality of Perho bridges a gap between these two traditions and has an appeal in both markets. In Finnish, “perho” means butterfly, alluding to the chair's butterfly-like shape.
